Price and Insurance for Mental Health Therapy in North Carolina

At Red Pine Counseling, we believe that quality mental health care should be accessible and affordable. We offer transparent pricing and work with several insurance providers to help make therapy services available to as many people as possible throughout North Carolina. Whether you choose in-person sessions at our Raleigh office or convenient telehealth appointments, we strive to make the financial aspect of therapy straightforward and stress-free.

Mental Health Therapy covered by Insurance

Many health insurance plans provide coverage for mental health services, including therapy sessions. This is thanks to mental health parity laws that require insurance companies to treat mental health conditions similarly to how they treat physical health conditions. At Red Pine Counseling, we accept several major insurance plans and can help you understand your coverage options.

When you use insurance for therapy, you may be responsible for:

    • Copayments (a fixed amount you pay at each session)
    • Coinsurance (a percentage of the total cost)
    • Deductibles (an amount you must pay before insurance begins covering services)

The specific details of your coverage depend on your individual insurance plan. Our team is happy to help you verify your benefits and understand what costs you might expect.

Insurances we are in network in

Red Pine Counseling is in-network with several major insurance providers in North Carolina, including:

    • Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina
    • Aetna
    • Cigna
    • United Healthcare
    • Medicare
    • Medicaid
    • Tricare

Being “in-network” means we have a contract with these insurance companies to provide services at negotiated rates, which typically results in lower out-of-pocket costs for you. If your insurance provider isn’t listed, we may still be able to work with you as an out-of-network provider, or you can consider our affordable self-pay options.
